Ryan’s and Michael’s Angels For Down Syndrome

The 3rd annual Long Island Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 10:30am to 3:00pm at Nassau Community College in Garden City, Long Island.  Developed by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995, the Buddy Walk is a one-mile walk that reaches out to friends, family and co-workers to promote awareness and inclusion for children and adults with Down syndrome and it raises money for education, research and advocacy programs.

Alexander’s Angels Org. started the very first Long Island Buddy Walk for Down syndrome in 2007 and in 2008,  Ryan’s and Michael’s Angels became a part of Alexander’s Angels and participated in the 2008 Long Island Buddy Walk.  We will once again walk for Down Syndrome in the 3rd annual Long Island Buddy Walk on October 18, 2009 at Nassau Community College.  If you are interested in learning more, or would like to volunteer to walk with us or start a Buddy Walk group yourself, or if you can’t join us but would like to  make a tax deductible contribution to help us, please visit Alexander’s Angels Org. at  http://www.alexandersangels.org
